No Words Necessary
This is why some Geezers tolerate Minnesota winters. A selection of photos from a short hike yesterday at Afton State Park, overlooking the St. Croix River, 20 minutes from downtown Minneapolis.
Wow. Makes our fall colors monochrome by comparison. We have primarily yellow and brown. It's 21f here this morning, and with only one real snowfall so far it's the nicest fall I remember.
Magnificent! Reminds me of fall in Indiana. I've been collecting some fall color here in California-nothing with the diversity of your beautiful scenes. Will probably post them the first of the week.
My God - and I do not use God's name in that fashion unless I mean it in a complimentary way - those are some of the most fantastic foliage shots I've ever seen. And I'm from New England, so I know. Well done!
I've been looking for signs of fall ever since I have arrived here. It is now pleasant enough that at breakfast I can sit outside and write this... and there is one tree, in a neighbor's yard, that has some color. I may go buy some spray paint later...
You demonstrate a seasonal beauty here that I have never seen in person. Yes, different climates, but it secures the idea that earth is a garden that grows around the sun. Beautiful!

Beautiful; breathtaking, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteDeciduous hardwoods are the best in fall; everything else is just a tree.

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! But that's fall. It doesn't explain winter.

ReplyDeleteI'd prefer not to have to go through the winters, but I agree that these are gorgeous! (both the scenes and the photos).

ReplyDeleteHaven't seen you in a while. I hope you are doing well and just decided to take a break.
